Referral service

Walnut Creek Christmas Lighting is an independent referral website, not an installer. We do not hang or sell lights. When you call or send a request, we pass it to an independent local Christmas lighting installer who serves your area. Designs, quotes, pricing, scheduling, guarantees, and all work are handled directly by that installer. Ask for proof of insurance and any license the work requires, and verify a license at cslb.ca.gov.

Cost information and its sources

Cost ranges on this site are published national figures, cited where they appear. The sources used, and when we read them (September 30, 2026):

• HomeGuide, How Much Does Christmas Light Installation Cost? (2026 edition)
• HomeGuide, How Much Do Permanent Christmas Lights Cost? (September 2024)
• Angi, How Much Does Professional Christmas Light Installation Cost? (updated May 2026)

These figures are national, not specific to Walnut Creek or the Bay Area, and they are for orientation only. The two sources don't agree with each other, so both are shown. Bay Area labor costs often push quotes toward the upper half of a range. The only price that applies to your home or business is the written quote from the installer who designs it.

Safety and technical information

Statements about clips, roof types, power, timers and permanent track systems are general information. Every product has its own instructions, and the installer's judgment about your roof, trees and electrical capacity takes precedence over anything here. Nothing on this site is electrical, legal or insurance advice.

Licensing and contracts

We do not inspect work or verify insurance. Ask any installer for proof of liability insurance and, where the job requires a California contractor license (permanent lighting wired into your electrical system, for example), for their license number, and verify it at cslb.ca.gov before work begins. For California's rules on when a license is required, see the Contractors State License Board directly; we do not restate those rules here.
